This is a sas/graph imitation of a map in the "ESRI Map Book, Volume 22", p. 76

Source data from this publication:
Forest Resources of the United States, 2002 (Smith et al.)

I use annotate to draw the pie slices.
Probably the trickiest bit is to do the overall CONUS (continental US) 
one in the bottom/left, and annotate the labels around it.
