This is a Tile Chart (or "Rectangular Tree Chart").

The size of the tiles represents the number of projects in that category,
and the color represents whether the project was funded or not.

Be sure to scroll down, and see the separate chart for each year.

It is interesting that the first few years, a smaller proportion 
of the tiles was red (ie, in more recent years, a higher percentage
of the projects are going unfunded). [Note that the total number of
projects, and the total amount of money raised is also higher ...
but that's not shown on this particular chart.]
